Taught journalism and media courses at universities and colleges in Canada, New Zealand and Malta. For CBC TV News, municipal and provincial affairs correspondent. For Television New Zealand and the BBC in the 70s, covering stories from Southeast Asia and the South Pacific to Eastern Europe and Africa. Most recently, writer and director of documentaries for History Television's Historylands series and for PBS.
